Layla Giegling is a Class of 2030 student-athlete from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, excelling both in the classroom and on the softball field. A versatile catcher and shortstop, Layla combines defensive leadership, quick decision-making, and strong fundamentals with consistent offensive production.

Currently playing for Harrisburg High School, SD (#20) and the Next Play 605 (#20) club program, Layla has earned recognition at the national level as a two-time USA Softball All-American. Behind the plate, she’s known for her strong arm, quick release, and ability to manage pitchers. At shortstop, she brings athletic range and smart field awareness. At the plate, she demonstrates solid mechanics, power, and the ability to deliver in key moments.
